For the technical design of the EN13445 strength was determined by the customer. BIS VAM Anlagentechnik GmbH have also the thermal calculations, including vibration analysis created. The heat exchangers were based on the results, with baffle pipes in the steam inlet, condensate inlet baffle plates at the condensate inlet, with support grids for the HC-pipes, and each provided with a sub-cooling zone. Scope of Engineering:
- Execution of the vessel and heat exchanger according to the rules of the Pressure Equipment Directive.
- For the mechanical design calculation, the AD2000 framework was chosen.
- In addition, were responsible for the engineering work standards by the customer and special design standards (such as VGB, HEI, TEMA,…) into account. VAM produced also the heat-technical calculation including vibration analysis.
- The heat exchangers were based on the results fitted with baffles at the steam inlet, with lattice vibration fixtures for the secure retention of the WT-tubes and a lower cooling zone.
- The separation of the waterways in the prechamber was without hindering the elongation of the mantle, dissolved with a separate inner box.
- For the placement of the heat exchanger in a power plant installation and installation plan has been created. It must also be considered that sufficient space available for inspection work for pulling the bundle.
